Quarry Tile
A durable and hard-fired tile manufactured from clay. Quarry tiles are renowned for their strength and are commonly used for flooring in areas prone to high foot traffic or requiring robust surfacing, such as kitchens, entryways, and commercial spaces. They are usually unglazed and available in various earthy tones, providing a rustic appearance.

A dense and durable metamorphic rock formed from sandstone subjected to high heat and pressure. Quartzite possesses excellent hardness and resistance to abrasion, making it a popular choice for high-quality building materials in construction. It is often used for countertops, wall cladding, flooring, and exterior applications due to its attractive appearance and durability.

Construction glossary term - Quoin

Refers to the external corner of a wall, typically accentuated by using stones, bricks, or other materials different from the rest of the wall. Quoins serve both structural and decorative purposes, providing visual interest and defining the edges of a building. They can be made of contrasting colors or textures, enhancing the architectural appeal of a structure.

Quarter Round
A type of molding or trim characterized by its rounded, convex shape, resembling a quarter of a circle in cross-section. Quarter round moldings are commonly used to cover gaps between baseboards and flooring, providing a finished appearance while protecting edges and corners. They are also used for decorative purposes around cabinets and countertops.

Quick-Setting Cement
A type of cement or mortar that has a rapid drying and hardening time, allowing for faster setting compared to regular cement. Quick-setting cement is beneficial in construction for repairs, patching, or installations where a quick turnaround is necessary, such as fixing leaks or setting posts.
