About the Home Remodel
The owners desired to take this stately home built in 1930 and modernize it. The existing home was closed off and traffic flow needed to be improved.
The solution included moving walls, raising ceilings, and adding wall-to-wall glass to calm the eye by focusing the view on Barton Pond.
Rear decks were created to enjoy the newly renovated space while integrating the exterior living areas.
The whole color pallet was lightened to alleviate the dark colors used in the 1930s.
In order to accomplish this total home improvement project while still living in the home, a 3 Car Garage with an Au Pair Suite above was initially created.
Once this step in the project was completed, the owners lived in the new areas while the existing home was totally renovated.
While you view the craftsmanship throughout the house, we applaud the Owners’ unique creative desires to create many custom Built-ins for their entertaining enjoyment.
